Measure AC/DC Standby Power Up to Large Power Loads
The PW3335 joins other Hioki benchtop power meters PW3336 and PW3337 as best-in-class power measuring instruments for measuring single to three-phase lines with a high degree of precision and accuracy. The PW3335 delivers high measurement accuracy and handles currents with higher crest values in lower current ranges (i.e., high crest factors) while minimizing the effects of power factor to greatly help reduce power measurement uncertainty, especially critical when the measured standby power is at mA levels.
AC and DC power measurement capability and IEC 62301-compliant standby power measurement capability
The PW3335 can measure both AC and DC components. Consequently, it can also be used to measure the power consumption of battery-driven devices and devices powered by a DC power supply such as an AC adapter. In addition, the instrument can measure the standby power of devices powered by AC adapters, a capability that is in increasing demand today. The PW3335 complies with IEC 62301, an international standard governing standby power measurement.
High-precision, DC/low-frequency power measurement capability
Power meters, which are used to assess energy-saving performance, are generally required to operate at a high degree of precision. Tthe PW3335 delivers basic precision of 0.15% — an improvement over previous models. Additionally, the PW3335 delivers a wide measurement frequency band of DC and 0.1 Hz to 100 kHz
Broad selection of current measurement ranges
The PW3335 ships with a broad range of current measurement ranges to provide coverage from 1 mA to 20 A and a current input range from 10 μA to 30 A for direct input and up to 5,000 A (AC) when using a current sensor.
Measurement capabilities and interface options
The Hioki PW3335 Power meter measures: Voltage, current, active power, apparent power, reactive power, power factor, phase angle, frequency, maximum current ratio, current integration, active power integration, integration time, voltage waveform peak value, current waveform peak value, voltage crest factor, current crest factor, time average current, time average active power, voltage ripple rate and current ripple rate. Auto-range integration, built-in harmonic analysis, and GPIB, LAN, and other interfaces are among the features shipped standard with the PW3335. Other features vary by model:
Model | Harmonic measurement | LAN interface | RS-232C interface | GP-IB interface | D/A output | Current sensor input |
