DT9837B Analyzer Overview

The DT9837B, a dynamic signal analyzer from Digilent, operates via USB and is equipped with four simultaneous 24-bit IEPE sensor inputs, a maximum sample rate of 105.4 kS/s, a tachometer input, and a 24-bit analog output. It comes with integrated IEPE signal conditioning, enabling direct data collection from sensors such as accelerometers and microphones.

The DT9837B stands out with its unique features, including the capability to read the value of tachometer counter 1 from the analog input data stream. This allows for precise correlation between tachometer and analog input measurements. It also has the ability to read the value of gate counter 2 from the analog input data stream, facilitating precise correlation between gate input and analog input measurements. In addition, the DT9837A model includes an RJ45 synchronization (LVDS) connector, enabling synchronized acquisition across up to four modules.

Software support for the DT9837B is provided through QuickDAQ, a out-of-the-box application for data logging, visualization, and signal generation. Two upgrades for QuickDAQ are available, offering FFT analysis functions. The package includes drivers for popular applications and programming languages such as Visual C++, Visual C#, Visual Basic.NET, DASYLab, LabVIEW, Linux, and MATLAB.

The DT9837 Series

Digilent's DT9837 Series high-accuracy dynamic signal acquisition modules are ideal for portable noise, vibration, and acoustic measurements. Four, 24-bit, IEPE (ICP) sensor inputs are synchronized with a tachometer input (depending on model) to provide data streams that are matched in time, for field and laboratory use. These rugged, compact modules are USB powered, making them ideal for portable measurement applications.
