Digilent High-Speed Adapter and Logic Probes
Features and Specifications
- 2x16 MTE connector to connect to Digital Discovery
- 24 2x1 male pin headers for attaching 24 High Speed Probes
- Ensures signal integrity and reduces noise for sample rates of up to 800 MS/s on the Digital Discovery
- Alternative to the 2x16 flywire assembly for the Digital Discovery
High-speed digital signals can be affected by noise and cross talk when transmitted over open wires like an MTE Cable or breadboard wire. The High Speed Adapter serves as a bridge between the high-speed inputs on the Digital Discovery and high-speed probes, which are engineered to minimize noise and maintain signal integrity at speeds of up to 800 MS/s.
The High-Speed Adapter can accommodate up to 24 High Speed Logic Probes to examine 24 digital signals. The adapter doesn't have a specific orientation and can be used in either direction since the twisted wires lack color coding. A set of 16 High Speed Logic Probes is provided.
Each cable consists of a GND (black) wire twisted with a DIN_USR (colored) wire. These wires are connected to the High Speed Adapter through a 2-pin female header, and two 1-pin female connectors link to the device under test and ground. A 100 ohm resistor is incorporated in the signal wire at the end nearest to the device under test. All GND wires must be connected to the ground of the device under test.
