Barcol impressor hardness meter with backlit LCD, power-saving automatic shutdown, maximum and average functions
PCE-1000N is a portable handheld Material Tester used to measure the hardness of pure aluminum, soft aluminum, thick aluminum alloy and aluminum sheets, strips, rods, castings and forgings. The hardness of fiber-reinforced (FRP) plastics, glass-reinforced (GRP) plastics, hard plastics and soft metals (such as copper or lead) also can be tested using this battery-powered digital Barcol impressor hardness meter. The digital meter offers a wide measuring range, high accuracy and direct display of the measured values on the built-in backlit LCD. In addition to Barcol (HBA) hardness units, the meter displays hardness measurements in Brinell (HB), Vickers (HV), Webster (HW) and Rockwell (HRB / HRE / HRF / HRH) hardness units. Adding to the meter's versatility is its sleek design, allowing for quick and easy one-handed operation.
The Material Tester meets the following ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) standards: E140-97; D2583-75; B648-78: E140-97 Standard Hardness Conversion Tables for Metals; D2583-75 Standard Method of Testing for Indentation Hardness of Plastics by means of a Barcol Impressor; B648-78 Standard Method of Testing for Indentation Harness of Aluminum Alloys by means of a Material Tester.
