Analog Discovery Pro Overview
The ADP2230 Analog Discovery Pro is a Mixed Signal Oscilloscope (MSO) device featuring two analog inputs (50 MHz bandwidth, 14-bit resolution), one analog output, 16 digital I/O and is capable of handling signals at a high speed of 125 MS/s. It allows users to measure, visualize, generate, record, and control circuits of all kinds. The ADP2230 is ideal for professional engineers who need to measure and generate data from different devices and power them with a reliable power supply. The feature-packed ADP2230 can do the work of multiple test and measurement devices and is more compact than conventional instruments.
Users can use the free WaveForms software to access and analyze complex data, perform various types of analysis, and download large data sets. WaveForms uses the ADP2230's large memory capacity to store and stream hundreds of millions of samples to the computer. WaveForms also has a user-friendly interface that resembles classic benchtop oscilloscopes.
The ADP2230 belongs to the Digilent Analog Discovery Pro family of Test and Measurement devices that offer engineers, researchers, educators, and scientists the ability to design and test with great flexibility. These solutions are adaptable to the needs of both experienced and novice engineers, and help them speed up their development process.
WaveForms Software Application
WaveForms is the free software application for the ADP2230 and enables use of the available analog and digital instruments. The hardware device communicates with WaveForms via a USB connection to your computer, allowing users to capture, record, analyze, and generate mixed signal and mixed domain waveforms. In addition to the use of instruments in the application, the WaveForms application has a script editor tool, which allows custom scripting of the instrument in JavaScript. WaveForms is designed to be run on a laptop or desktop computer and is Windows, Mac, and Linux compatible.
For even more customization potential, the WaveForms Software Development Kit (SDK) can be used to create custom applications and scripts in Python, C and additional languages. The ADP2230 is also compatible with LabVIEW and the Digilent Toolbox for compatibility with MathWorks' MATLAB Data Acquistion Toolbox.
Also included with ADP2230 is a free 30-day trial of EveryMeasure, Digilent's new data storage and visualization platform, plus a one-year subscription to Multisim Live Premium, the online circuit simulator that lets users create, learn, and share circuits and electronics online.
